A stage actor adorned with make up and full on costume prepares for the stage show.

Looks like the transition is complete, well on the surface that is. All my links will point to the new site, and my old link will redirect itself to here. But all my older posts are still pointing to the old server and looks like I have to edit all the files individually to point to the new site so any visitors via Google will find the new site. I'm just anal when it comes to the little things really, so all these little nagging things, such as redirecting, dead links, and dead images are still at the back of my mind.

My biggest concern really is the Metal Gear Solid Codec Ringtone I've posted a while back, that has since become my most popular post. Since it looks like I can't redirect it automatically as easy as it was with the main index page, it seems that the ranking for this new site's Codec Ringtone is gonna start at the bottom now.

Anyway, everything I've designed has been translated 98% onto the final site, 2% of which is the little small problems, like dead images and in IE, those menu won't drop down at all. Oh, you're on IE? Go try Firefox or Opera or even the latest phones to check my site. It should either drop down, or gracefully downgrades to an accessible site without the layouting. My N80 can drop down the menu items. An iPhone could as well (that's for another story), I haven't tried on Linux systems or other obscure browsers, but if they're based on a good CSS compliant browser, it should drop down.

And oh. The biggest thing that led me to design this site as such? Now I can present a full 1024 px wide landscape images. Fun for your bandwidth.

Smoked Fish. Crispy Smoked Fish...

A small platoon of photographers descended onto the jam packed make shift stalls selling a cornucopia of food items, with every step of the way, a cacophonous din on peddlers busily hawking their items. Controlled chaos, with everything and everyone was primed to be photographed.

Present were myself, AnakBrunei, WithAku, RJ63, Airbiscuit, Nikonian (Chee), CPSBrunei, UcingItam, God's Gift and friends, Ranoadidas and Bandar360. I wonder if I left someone out?

Anyway, here's a lesson on how to make music out of your viewer's stomach, especially during the fasting month. Enjoy.

0043_DSC_0074I'm flying without wings, as the song goes.
0049_DSC_0082This place attracted me again and again, probably due to the smoke playing around with the sunshine, creating dancing silhouettes.

This post is titled Rickshaw Lady by author SoulJah. 0155_DSC_0002

As we made our way to Kg. Tamoi Ujung on our walkabout on the narrow pathways meandering through Kg. Ayer, we see these rickshaw/tricycle type things left on the verandahs of certain houses. I wondered how would one traverse the narrow pathways with such bravado, when we met these ladies about to depart, going the other way we were heading in.

At first, they seemed reluctant to ride out, thinking that we were some tourists, carrying our huge cameras and lenses taking pictures of odd stuff. Japanese would be a bit of a stretch, maybe from Thailand or Burma perhaps. But after the old ladies, who are conveniently hiding away inside the house no less, egged them on to just go on ahead perhaps thinking that it'd make a good photo opportunity to the 'tourists', they rode off stifling their giggles.

So off they went pedalling away, keeping a perfect composure, while I burst as fast as the buffers could muster. Suddenly they went off on a junction, trying to hide off at the end of a pathway. Only after we moved on did they come out, peering out from the junction to make sure we were gone, giggling because they got to dodge us.

Here's the sequence of shots that I got. If there are shots like these everytime I make these outings to Kg. Ayer again, I can say these would make perfect highlights to my excursions there.
