We were never spot on the technological curve... Hell... We never did got real close to it... We will be forever more the most back-assed-wards-technologically-impaired bastards. The closest example? Our handphones. Japanese consumers already got to experience the 3G (?) or i-mode (or whatever) that can deliver video content through phones. What do we have? SMS? Whoppee!
Net connectivity. Someone once told me if Jefri didn't spend all those money on all those shits, all of us could be very well be surfing with fibre optics connection throughout Brunei. Now what do we have? ADSL connection that's (according to some sources) crap? I mean look at Malaysia and Singapore. They got well laid broadband connectivity shits already installed. And with a healthy competition among ISP vendors they can keep the prices of connection very cheap while delivering the high quality services. Competition? Here? Pshaw! JTB has the best ISP servers in the world (much sarcasm ensues).
And now the US has already rolling out Video on Demand and HDTV... My best guesstimate of us getting those type of services is well into the year 2050... If we're lucky...
