There was a time when I was sitting in front of the telly, with USB external hard drive in one hand, and tv remote in the other. Then I try bashing em together to see the concoction I just triggered off in my brain would instamagically translate into the two items fusing. "Must... make... files... on... TV..."
Didn't work.
So, I made a compromise. I said to myself, "I'll just tether this to the new computer... oh no wait, not gonna buy a new one... Or maybe buy that enclosure that cos BND$900 that can connect the drive up through Ethernet to my Access Point... no wait... too expensive... Or keep the wi fi and just get that router that I can connect USB drive too... Oh wait... That's not Samba, that's only FTP..." at which point I'd blank out and fall asleep. And yes... That's an actual train of thought...
So yeah... There that idea languished again, until I saw blips of report from
